KCCA is a social club in Northern California, USA, for the people originally from Kerala, the ‘land of coconuts’. It is formed to promote and celebrate the rich culture of Kerala in California.
With an insight on KCCA’s purpose, we created several designs exuberating the expression of Malayalee heritage coupled with the modernism of California. Out of several options, we discovered that the conceptualization of Golden Gate Bridge(California) and Kerala’s traditional Chundan Vallam (Beaked Boat) was remarkable. The boat with people denotes Malyalees with bridge (KCCA) helping them reconnect at Foreign City. Altogether, the logo with US colors communes the essence of KCCA as the place for Keralites to get together in California.
